‘With grateful thanks – and a heartfelt farewell’

After more than 18 wonderful years, we have decided it is sadly time to hang up the keys to the Steading – and settle into ‘full time’ retirement.

From 1^st October 2023, there will be a legal requirement in Scotland to obtain a licence to continue to operate all self catering businesses – and we have decided not to apply.

We have enjoyed hosting the many hundreds of guests who have stayed with us and visited this unique and beautiful part of Scotland – and would like to especially thank the many who have chosen to make return visits.

We intend to continue living at Burnside – where the Steading will be used as a welcome retreat for our family and friends.
